Happy Birthday to Iker Casillas, Real Madrid and the Spanish national team captain! He’s truly one of the greatest goalkeepers in the world right now, and his leadership skills are so commendable. I have the utmost respect for this man and wish him the best birthday ever.

Iker Casillas | Real Madrid

Guess who’s going to the Spain vs. USA friendly in Massachusetts in June?

I am SO excited because I have been a fan of Spain since Euros 2008, but of course, I think I’m going to be supporting my home team. I have club level seats, which means I have an awesome view. So, so excited!

Anyone else going to the game?

Real Madrid 1 - 0 Espanyol

90 seconds into the game, Real Madrid’s Captain Iker Casillas was shown the red card for a one on one tackle with one of Espanyol’s players. Madrid’s third goal keeper, Adán, was called up to save his team. Then came this beautiful winner by the now Captain Marcelo (Real Madrid). Amazing assist by Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Ozil. And what a smile from Coach Jose Mourinho!

With this win, Real Madrid is now 5 points away from leaders FC Barcelona, who drew against Sporting Gijon yesterday. Winning La Liga for Los Blancos doesn’t seem so impossible anymore…
